Chapter 1: The Acquaintance

As Lael stands quietly in the train, thinking, It is a great day to be out. She strolled to the doors and bumped into a slender yet muscular figure, looking up to find a set of familiar ocean blue eyes.

Oh Heaven, it is Corban from the Jock Team. The most popular quarterback in school that campus girls want their hands on.They even had millions of posts why he is 'oh-so' perfect on Twitter.

The List
First, that ocean blue eyes that takes your breath away.

Secondly, it is the charming smile that he gives that makes, even Aunt Kelly, the cafeteria cook, falls for.

Finally, the sweet & caring personality for everyone around him, little critters included.

"Oh! I’m so sorry! Are you alright?" Lael flusteredly spat out.

"Yeah, I’m alright. No worries," Corban smiled and brushes his slick night black hair into place.

As the doors slid open, Lael rushed out.

"Okay, that can’t be Corban. He will never take a train like us, non-rich or popular kids," She wondered.

"Hey Laaael?! Aren’t you Lael from Biology Class?" He shouted across.

Sort of frozen, Lael turned around and gave a 'Yeah, that’s me', holding a weary smile.

How did you know who I am? I’m always keeping a low profile. Unless, I did something, BIG! Those thoughts raced across her mind. Suddenly remembering, Oh dearie, I’ve to respond to him now! Or else he’ll think I’m a super ‘weirdo’ or something.

"Yeah em hi, is there something you need? Are you lost? In need of help? Do you need me to show you around?" She muttered softly, unsure of what to do.

Lael’s Brain:

Wait, something you need? Lael, what in the world?! What does he need?! Lost?! He is almost a grown man, how in the world can he be lost in a small country like this. He is smart, rich, mister 'oh-so' perfect, can totally handle himself.

He smiled gleefully and said, "You would? That will be extremely kind of you, as I hardly come to Town. Plus, the map I got from the brochure stall, wasn’t of much help at all."

Well, that doesn’t give me much of a choice now, thanks to that mouth of mine. Fine, I shall help the lost puppy? If not the girls in school will knock me out if they found out I made their 'Superstar' disappear, Lael thought to herself.

"Hello?" Corban waving his hand pass Lael’s face, bringing her back to reality.

"Oh! Sorry, was thinking about my schedule. I guess I can help but I’ve got curfew."

"Sure, why not we move from here to somewhere else. Is there a café nearby?" He turned towards her with a grin.

"There’s a nice one, few streets down on the left. It isn’t as grand like Starbucks or Coffee Bean but it serves awesome coffee, together with a slice of shortcake." She said with precaution, hoping not to offend the ‘Superstar’ in anyway.

"Alright then, let’s make a move."He said, waiting for her to take the lead.
